Andrew Wiggins’ Letter to the Cleveland Cavaliers

To owner Dan Gilbert, GM David Griffin, and all the Cleveland Cavaliers’ staff and fans,

I would like to start off by saying thank you for making me the first overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. Walking on that stage on Draft Day and shaking the commissioner’s hand was the culmination of a lifelong dream.

This is a great time for the city of Cleveland as well. Your prodigal son, LeBron James has returned home and the Cavaliers’ front office has moved quickly to assemble a championship caliber team around him.

Is LeBron Returning to Cleveland? Who Cares??!!!

Every time something significant happens for the Cleveland Cavaliers these days some media idiot wants to use it as an excuse to speculate on LeBron James eventual return to the team that drafted him.

The Cavaliers won the first overall pick in the draft a couple of years ago and drafted point guard Kyrie Irving. According to the media, LeBron is going to go back eventually to play with him.

Will we finally get a Kobe versus LeBron Finals matchup?

Back in the 2008-2009 season, Nike unleashed a brilliant marketing campaign using puppets to represent the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant and Cleveland Cavaliers’ star forward LeBron James.

Bryant and James were the two most dominant and most popular players in the league at that time, so Nike was rooting for a Cavaliers versus Lakers matchup in the 2009 NBA Finals. Unfortunately, James and the Cavaliers couldn’t get by the Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals in order to make this dream marketing matchup a reality.

LeBron James forever haunted by ‘Decision’

I have a question for everyone who stays in the 49 states not named Ohio; who really gave a crap about the Cleveland Cavaliers before Lebron James got there?
