Hornets should dump Dunleavy once sale is finalized


NBA commissioner David Stern confirmed that the New Orleans Hornets were in the process of being sold to a group led by former NBA player and ex-coach for the Los Angeles Clippers, Mike Dunleavy. While businessmen Raj Bhathal and Larry Benson are the principal investors of the group seeking to purchase the Hornets, Dunleavy has been the principal negotiator for the group.

Hornets on Verge of Another Trade

The New Orleans Hornets announced that they are seeking a trade partner for center Chris Kaman who they acquired in a trade with the Clippers during the offseason. The Hornets seek to get younger as they continue the rebuilding process that was ushered in when they traded Chris Paul during that same offseason trade.

The Chris Paul Controversy Isn’t Going Away Any Time Soon

The ink hasn’t even dried on the NBA’s new labor agreement and we already have our first controversy of the season. Thursday the Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Hornets and Houston Rockets announced a three-way trade that would have sent Chris Paul to L.A. and Pau Gasol to Houston. The Hornets would have received Lamar Odom, Kevin Martin, Luis Scola, Goran Dragic and a 2012 first-round draft pick in the deal but the NBA canceled the trade hours after it was announced yesterday.
